Tree man ‘who grew roots’ may be cured

: 1:26 am: jonthonUncategorized

I went to the farm, which was fun, and met Joe’s new wife Kendra and their daughter, and rode around on the four-wheeler while my uncle put the top on his jeep.  He has been building an addition to the garage which was pretty cool.  I played ponies with my new niece for way too long, not entirely by option…

Then the next day I watched the Republican CNN/Youtube debates.  That night, I opened presents at my dad’s house.

The day following, I went shopping with my dad and bought new shoes, then had dinner with my dad’s fiancee’s family.  After that, I went to Sean’s and played Wii.  After beating him in everything from bowling to tennis to boxing, my arm
was pretty sore.

The next morning I went home, showered, then went with my mom to see Wicked: The musical.  It was one of the beter musicals I have ever seen.  I was really, really impressed with the writing and thought process behind it.  It was at the Fox theater, which is really cool.  My mom had said they had renovated it, and the program said it cost about $2 million.  Anyway, it was amazing, and so was the show.

That night, my dad and I watched i Robot, then2 million minutes.  The discussion that followed was lengthy and thought-provoking.

Then today, I went shopping at Trader Joe’s to get foodstuffs for my party tomorrow night.  Then I went with my dad and Oliver to Black Thorne, a pizza place renowned for its deep sihes.  Our pizza took way too long to finish, but was god.  Anyway, from there we went to the Blues game, which was rather uneventful and ended in a Blues loss, 1-0.

Tomorrow, I wake up, pack,  and get ready for the loft party.  Should be fun!  Then Sunday, I fly out at 12pm.

Today was action-packed.

First, during my 10th grade class, we read chapter 5.2 in Brave New World, then I told them about Huxley doing LSD, and how Jim Morrison got the name “The Doors,” from Huxley’s book “The Doors of Perception” about his experiments with LSD. For the last five minutes of class, I played “People are Strange” for them. Never having heard it before (much to my surprise, actually), they quickly fell in love, and I’ll be filling up jump drives with it Monday. They also adeptly connected the idea that “people are strange when you’re a stranger” to our judgmental approach to the lifestyles of people in the Brave New World.

After this, I emailed in my application to work at Google (the web form they’d set up for TFAers was not working, but when it was later that night I submitted there too). So, now I’ve applied to Google.

After school, I hosted the 2nd annual Game day at school.  We strung two Xbox 360s together, hooked them up to projectors, loaded up Halo 3, and set up tournament brackets.  The event was a huge success, and will hopefully occur more than once this school year.

On Saturday night, I attended the holiday party. I saw lots of friends, and would have considered it a good night, if not for the fact that some drunk girl borrowed/stole my coat. Just as I was preparing to leave a young lady, probably an ’07, dark haired, light-skinned, perhaps about 5’8”, asked to borrow my coat so she could go smoke. I wasn’t anxious to let her do it, but it was cold, and the coat check line was long, and she had already taken it from my shoulder, so….it happened. After my friend had made it through the aforementioned line, I headed out, and found her there smoking. Just then, a bouncer started shooing people away, and a fellow corps member literally pulled me away to say hi. When I turned around, she was gone, and so was my coat. I miss this coat, which was a gift from my father, who wore it when he was in college. I miss is so much that even though I am a vegetarian, I still wear this read leather coat.

Alas, now I am coatless just as it has begun to snow…

Better Watch Out: Microsoft Shuts Down Santa For Talking Dirty – News Story – KIRO Seattle

    Bad Santa!

One of the publications writers replicated the chat Monday. After declining the writers repeated invitations to eat pizza, a frustrated Santa burst out with, “You want me to eat what?? Its fun to talk about oral sex, but I want to chat about something else.”
