When I arrived on campus my freshman year, all the freshman were corralled through the columns, marking our embarkment on an educational journey. Today, we walked, still corralled, back through the columns in the opposite directions.
Then we went and drank university-supplied beer on the Carnahan Quad. Purportedly free, I think each of two beers cost me about $30,000, all told. I savored them. I also unassumingly entered a raffle, and then commenced to completely forget about it. My roommate starting calling my name from across the tent to inform me that I had won a CLASS RING! I certainly felt like the big winner of the day.
After that, I headed to Deja Vu, where the graduate professional council was supplying free drinks to all graduate students. As it turns out, I am a graduate student, or was if/when anyone asked. I ordered a sex on the beach, which the bartender informed me is a girl drink. I informed him that I'm a smoker, not a drinker. I then ordered three more throughout the course of the night, purposely neglecting to leave that guy a tip. Nice work, buddy!|||111549495046921435|||Senior Sendoff
