I got up this morning, and made some pasta. I would need something in my stomach when I ate the shrooms. Afterward, John and I smoked a few bowls, and headed out to the Devil's Ice Box. Upon our arrival, we found that a bunch of schools were there on field trips. We were still feeling pretty normal, so we headed in. We walked through the main cave, then took the shortcut up to the the overlook. Then we headed out along that path for a long while. We came along a broken down silo that echoed when you yelled into it. Then we found a small, still pond. It was at this point I think I peaked out. Then we coontinued down the path to a secluded spot, and smoked. We walked back out to the parking lot and drank the orange juice I brought. Then we headed back in, and went straight to the ice box. We hung out down there for a bit, and I climbed across into the actual icebox (and soaked my shoes doing so). It was cool. Then we headed back up, stopped off to smoke, took a short walk, and decided it was time to get back. After all, we were finishing up two trips - the psilocybes, and our undergraduate collegiate experience.
When we got home, we each took quick showers. I should have blogged at this point, but I was in too much of a hurry. I had some keen insight on life at this point, but maybe they are best inheld. Anyway, we headed up to meet friends at Big 12. When we got there, Katie Desplinter and her parents were there. We hung out, John got me a shot of Tequila, and over time people showed up. We ended up having a beer, then heading out. Everybody started trying to fit into one car, so John and I aserted that we would follow through with our original plans: to walk all the way to Hearnes to walk. We walked through the columns, through Greek town, under the tunnel, and into the building (front entrance).
We walked to the graduate area, and quickly separated (we graduated by sequence). I mingled and took pictures with friends, then they made us get in order. I got in line behind Mollie, who was in line behind Tyler. Somehow, Crystal ended up behind me. I later came to believe she was coked out of her gourd. Which I wouldn't have minded, if she wouldn't have tried to talk to me about her life problems and told me how much she didn't care about graduating. But anyway. Our grad speaker was a small, old man who shook when he talked. he was dissettling. The emcee was a guy named Zach, but most of us were referring to him as the tool box. It was incredible, the amount of not a person that kid was. Then, finally, Matt Telthorst gave the graduation speech. And it whooped ass. An ad grad has given the speech the last like 6 semesters. Finally, we got to walk. When I crossed the stage, I wore my apple headphones. I felt it was definitive. Simultaneously, my brother sounded his air horn (thanks Oliver). Then I waited for about an hour and a half for the rest of the alphabet and all four other sequences to walk...
Then I headed out to find my family. Mom, Dad, Oliver, Papa Hezzy, and Celia Anne came to see my graduation. Also, Oliver's friend came down because he intended to help Oliver rebuild my transmission. Anyway, we headed off to Les Bourgeious (sp?). I guess because it was out of town and people thought it would be full, it was almost empty. My Dad had called ahead, so we walked right to a table. The oil they had for bread was great. I opened presents before the meal. I got Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent and Amelie, among other things. Then we had our entrees, which were great. Along with it, Dad got a bottle of Norton which was amazing, and Mom got a bottle of a white wine. It was good too. I was sooo full, and pretty drunk at this point. We took some pictures out by the river, then headed back. We went to the Stoney Creeek, where they all were staying. I opened more presents back there. I got my external hard drive and camera unipod, along with other things. I hung out for a while until Tyler and Sean finished their meal at Grand Cru (it took them 90 minutes to even get seated, and they were at the only place in town that was taking resrvations.) When they came back, Tyler took a picture with my parents, and his parents gave me a gift. Then we headed out.
First place we went was Tyler's so he could change. Mollie and Sean came and picked us up, and were all mad because we had left the Creek before they had shown up (kind of a ridiculous demand of them to make, but whatever). Then they declared that we were going to Shiloh's (kind of a ridiculous demand, and one that, since I had been invited to two bought out bars, I would not be following). So we ended up heading to McKenzie's party at the Sapphire Room under Gumby's. We met up with friends, drank a bit, then Tyler ended up going home. I stayed out for a while, talked with katie and her parents, and eventually ended up walking to Music Cafe with Sandfort to see the Shadwick. He was rocking out some salsa music when we got there, and just finished a set. We were chatting with him when Sarah surprised me! I told her we were just stopping through to see Shad, and heading back to SR, and she said that was where she was going. So after wrapping up with Shad, we all headed out. On the way over, I was being sort of tipsy flirty. I guess Sarah wasn't in the mood, because she ditched me on my birthday to go and drive a guy home...After a brief stop in SR, I decided it was time to go home.
After all, the bar was closing. And what's more, I had to be up at 7am...(ugh)|||111968365898565119|||BIRTHDAY/GRADUATION
