Wow. Tonight was crazy.

It started out as a protest. Because Mizzou got grant money, they will be completely renovated the lab we did all of our ads in for the last two years. We decided we wanted to spend the night in Walter Williams 223 to express our undying love. So Katie DeSplinter, Matt telthorst, Tim Sandfort, Matt Snively, Amy Meier, Nathan Steevens and a few other people just hung around drinking beer until just before the IATS guy came to close it down. At that point, we turned out the lights and acted like we weren't there, which was silly in the first place. Once people started laughing, we all came out of hiding. I managed to talk the IATS guy into letting us stay, and we worked as a group to get him to decide he should leave us alone until about 3 am. So while some people went to get pizza, others drink, and my a movie, a few people stayed behind to reap the fruits of our labor.

When we arrived back at the lab, I walked right up to the door of the building with two bottles of alcohol...and right up to a cop who was locking the door. I managed to hide the bottles and get away to stash the bottles, then I went back to ask if we could go in and get our stuff. We later realized that we probably could have just hung out, and our friends could have let us in (damn it!). But instead, we got all our friends and went out to the Quad to eat our pizza. It probably should've ended there, but it didn't.

So we're sitting at the columns, eating pizza and drinking generic Sprite mixed with Peppermint Schnapps. Then my friend Lesley and her friends showed up. They intended to streak through the columns. most of our group blanched at this, but after a while Katie and I announced we were joining the streakers. This resulted in Telthorst and Sandfort deciding to do the same. So we streaked! Sure it may seem stupid now, and let my assure you that it seemed kind of stupid then. But I did it and I'm proud. After that, we reclothed, and reconvened at the columns. It should've ended there.

But it didn't. We decided to go climb Jesse Hall. I have actually done this before with my friend Greg long ago. We smoked a joint, leaning against the dome and facing the downtown columns. Good Times. So naturally, I went first. I climbed onto the AC unit, then did a push-up onto a thin, downward-sloping ledge. Then you just had to turn an inward corner, then an outward corner, then a long ledge, then an inward ledge, then a long ledge, then climb over a small ladder, and I was on the fire escape (easy, huh?). At that point, I could have walked up 6 flights of stairs and walked onto the roof. Instead, I decided to hang around and help other people up. That lasted for about 8minutes until the cops rolled up. Katie, Telt and I were all on the wall, so the cop decided to only give us first degree trespass tickets (which we later got dropped to second degree).

After that, we decided to call it a night.
